Brick Carving of a White Crane in Clouds   Ming Dynasty

With geometric patterns as the background, the carving depicts a flying white crane in clouds, with a pearl in its mouth. The clouds resemble Ruyi, an S-shaped ornamental object which symbolizes ‘longevity and good luck’.
