Unearthed from Marquis Cai’s Tomb, West Gate, Shou County in 1955

The jade ornament is of the state of Cai. It is curved with the same pattern on both sides. The seven belt pattern on the body shows the figure of a silkworm. The hole on the head is made as the eye of the silkworm. Chinese people have long known about sericulture, and have carved the shape of silkworms in various implements, but it is very rare to use silkworms for accessories.
