The ivory plate shaped like a lotus leaf with clear veins, and the rim of the lotus leaf turns naturally into a wall. The surface of the plate is also engraved with chrysanthemum, morning glory, peony, dragonfly, frog and other decorative patterns, part of which is lacquered green. The carving is elegant and refined, full of vitality. The underside of the plate is also engraved with morning glory and many other flowers. The lotus stem curved into spirals, beneath it are the lotus seeds, water chestnut flowers and other aquatic plants. Flowers in full bloom, lotus leaves linking each other, dragonflies skimming the water surface, frogs singing in the pond— the shape is novel and full of rustic charm.
