Unearthed in Linquan, Anhui province in 1957

The jar has a big mouth, a plump shoulder and a flat base which is slightly concaved. On the inside of the jar is black glaze and on the outside is black glazed pattern on white background. Its shoulder is decorated with lotus flower and lotus leaf pattern while its belly is decorated with flying phoenix pattern. The design is simple and unsophisticated, with strong folk flavor. The jar looks stable and is a product of Cizhou kiln style.
